2008 ktm 690 enduro reliability

This bike performs so well its first outing was to North Forty MX … Its an amazing bike. What is the KTM 690R meant to be? Were they an issue on the 08 model? That day I filled up with 3.2 gals. Below is the information on the 2008 KTM Duke 690. Rocker arm wears out quickly, but if you replace them at regular service the engine tend to last. You are using an out of date browser. Nice. If I fill within a couple of miles I will usually put in 2.4 to 2.7. From what I am hearing I probably wouldn't enjoy owning a 690. The time I went 20 mile after it came on was out near Sisterdale and it was that far to the nearest station. The 2010 Enduro R MSRP is $10,298. Good to hear, after sitting on it and the 990 I found the 690 to be more my size with my short height. Don't hesitate to pick one up. I was cruising at the speed limit when it blew, 5500 miles, not a stunt bike. While riding home from work tonight, my fuel gage told me I was on reserve at 135. I especially want one that does road miles well since living here in Dallas, there's so much road to get to the really good riding areas. I also wouldn't want to do a trip like this on a sumo, but a DS is a different story. The WR250R was up for the task as well, but it was just a little bland on the twisty back roads, also I have it set up for dirt and I didn't want to have to compromise the tires I run, or swap wheels. I've thought about it for a while now and I prefer my DRZ but of course it's all opinion and depends where you live, what you use the bike for etc. hows the reliability? I was looking at the latter, when pulling the trigger on my 690 in 2013. Alittle less if on hwy or offroad. & the low fuel light comes on. Made a good deal of difference. I am just trying to get to know my future options better. If you fail to replace them you might be on for some problems. I currently have a DRZ400SM and a WR250R both at around 15k miles, I defiantly think my WR250R would make it cross country and back no problems, the DRZ would probably make it too with out issue (maybe needing some oil added along the way), but the WR250R would be my first pick for dependability. So I have been doing a bunch of research on the reliability of the KTM 690 and the results seem pretty polar, either it is perfectly reliable, or it blows up by 10k miles. Regarding the headlight, mine uses a standard H4 bulb that you can get at any auto parts store. about 50mph. Also how do you like your DRZ? The put in freight at $495, dealer prep $150, I think. It has a Supertrap IDS2 silencer and opened airbox with the carb rejetted from 142.5 to 157.5 main jet. It is especially good for rally travel, but will also turn into a fairly capable adventure enduro whip. It uses KTM's LC4 motor... probably the most reliable engine they have ever produced. Main issue for me is the throttle is just really twitchy, to the point my wrist actually aches after a long day of riding. There is no other bike I would have over this one. I've had 2 now, first one had weird fuel injection issues, 4 years later got another one (still own it) and it has a weird starting issue where it makes a funny noise and some times takes a while, haven't gotten around to fixing that. I will usually go 120 to 130 when the fuel gage goes to res. However, the above too issues may be a problem for me. Thanks for the info. So, tell me about the RANGE on a TANK of GAS. Not the exact same bike but I have an 06 625SMC And this thing is the most reliable bike I've ever owned. Hmm, well that takes away my theory that the ones that blew up were all just hammered on... What went wrong on it? I got a 990 SMT recently for long trips, as much as I love SM's it's just not their strong point.
